just an update

Gracie had her 4 month well baby check up yesterday morning and everything seems to be going great. First and foremost...no heart murmur this time around so that's good. Gracie is in the 90% for her height being 25 1/2 inches long and she is in the 65% for her weight being 14 pounds. She is doing great with everything and is still in bed at the moment and it's almost 8am.

Emma couldn't be more excited about Christmas. She wants a bike, helmet and an airplane so I guess you'll just have to wait to see pictures to see if Santa brings her what she wants.

Hope everyone has a good and safe holiday. Zack will have 11 days off of work and I will actually be going into work for a few hours here and there since we won't need a babysitter.

-4 degrees and -27 windchill...the trip to Walmart

Zack needed to get his oil changed so he bundled emma all up and took her with him because she wanted to go. It was just a little cold outside...hence the title of this blog.

~the $9.99 Gingerbread House~

The weather has been freezing, so yesterday I decided to go to Costco to get a few things including a gingerbread house kit. Emma was so excited and did a pretty good job.

The string of popcorn

So today I came up with this grand idea that we should put the tree up, decorate it... and put a string of popcorn on it. Let's just say that we won't do the string of popcorn again. Emma had a great time with it... but we did it for about 25 minutes and as you can see in the picture... that's all we did. It took forever! Anyways, Emma had quite abit of fun putting up the xmas tree tonight. She is such a good helper... (most of the time)... We ran to target afterwards because we had to run some movies and books back to the library, and I let her pick out 1 decoration for the tree... and she was just so excited to be around all the xmas decorations and told me that she wanted all of them.

Happy Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving the four of us went to my grandma's house and had lunch. Emma absolutely loves going to "gigi's" house so gram had her work cut out for her. We had a delicious lunch and pumpkin pie for dessert. Afterwards, we headed to Villisca. We went up to Julie and Adam's for dinner and the girls played and played. I worked all day on Friday on a wedding and than Zack and I headed to Seward, Ne for a wedding (which was cut short due to my migraine). Anyways, it's been a long weeked and now we will be busy getting ready for Christmas. Bad news is that we aren't moving into a new house as planned this week..... long story, but quite a disappointment.

Gracie is rolling over now!!

I haven't posted anything for awhile so I figured I would put an update on her. The girls are still growing and changing every day. Gracie rolled over about a week ago and now she is unstoppable. I will put a video on her as soon as I can figure that one out. Emma has been busy working on counting to 15. She has 1-12 down pat than it gets a little tricky. She begs Zack and I everyday to go back to Chuck E. Cheese's so we are planning another trip there probably sometime after we move. Speaking of moving...it's taking longer than we planned but hopefully by the 5th of December we should be half way settled in and ready for visitors.

Veteran's Day

Well Zack had the day off today so we decided to do some fun things as a family. First we went and checked out our new townhouse which is coming along pretty quick. They have the cupboards in the kitchen finally up and alot of the woodwork done. There is still alot to be done but they go pretty quick. Looks like we should be closing at the very end of November or the first week of December. We're getting pretty excited. ~ So today we did that first... than we headed to Home Depot as Zack got a 10% discount today so we got paint and some supplies for Emma's room only...we have ALOT of deciding to do with the rest of the house. Next we came home for a quick break than headed to Chuck E. Cheeses. These are the pictures from there. Emma had an absolute blast beings she had never been there before. She hit the jackpot on the 3rd game to played and won 150 tickets (hence the picture you see with her holding the tickets.) I wanted to do something fun and creative for Veteran's Day for Zack so I had the pizza guy spell out Hero (as you can see in the picture of the pizza) on the pizza. Thought that it was a cute thing to do. We stayed for almost 2 hours than headed home for naps. I went the gym and zack stayed home with the sleeping girls (and I think he slept himself as well). Our friend Michelle came over to watch the girls at 4:30pm so Zack and I could go to Applesbees because he was able to get a free entree due to it being Veteran's Day. And Now... here I sit.. back at home... Emma and watching a short movie with Gracie and Daddy and than it's bedtime. LONG DAY... but one that was so much fun!!

~the three little girls~

Addison (my brother's little girl) came to play on Monday and what a time the girls did have. Addy loves Gracie and enjoys holding her. But I can't say that for myself and Addy.. for some reason she is really shy or whatever you would like to call it... I can't ever get her to smile for me. Anyways, Emma loves being able to play with Addy so I am thankful that they live only 2 hours away.

~Photo Sessions~

Emma after eating spaghetti.
Gracie getting bigger each day!

Just taking some pictures

Preview for Halloween.

Gracie's new bumbo chair.

Pretty much just had a few photo sessions the last few days. We got a bumbo chair for Gracie because she is always wanting to be upright so this works for her. Emma is as busy as ever. We went to a little Halloween party the other night so here's a preview of that night. We are heading to the Troja's tomorrow night to go trick-or-treating so I'll be posting some more pictures. Gracie is already wearing 3-6 month one pieces. She seems to be pretty long already.
